Park Lake State School

Welcome to Park Lake State School a new state of the art school opened in 2008 at Pacific Pines.

Education in the 21^st century is changing rapidly to meet the needs of students and society. Students have access to a wide range of technologies in their everyday lives and it is imperative that schools and educators move forward rapidly in this area so as to capitalise on the skills students bring with them into the school environment. At Park Lake State School we have a wide range of technologies to access in order to enhance the learning experiences students are exposed to each day.

In conjunction with technology I believe firmly that we need to educate students about community, what it means to be a part of a community both at school and in the broader sense. We are working hard to establish high standards and values as an integral part of the educative process. Students must learn that they have an important role to play for the future, both as individuals and as part of our community, to ensure that they are influencing the decisions which are made now, and as they enter adulthood, so that our society and future generations have a great world to live in.

To achieve our aims we need to ensure that our school community works in partnership to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. Parents, students, staff and the wider community all contribute to the success of an individual student and in turn to the school as a whole. I know that we have all of the elements necessary to create a fantastic learning environment at Park Lake, keen, enthusiastic students, caring and supportive parents, professional and highly qualified teachers and an exceptional team of support staff.
