Tuckshop hours

The tuckshop is run by the school P&C Association and opens from Monday of week two in term one, and is closed for the last week of term four.

Ordering process

Order online at Flexischools by 8.40am for that day (orders can be placed weeks in advance).  Prepared lunch orders for Prep to Year 3 will be returned to the classrooms in the class tuckshop buckets (collected by the class tuckshop monitors), and Years 4 to 6 are collected directly from the tuckshop by the student.  Please contact Flexischools directly on 1300 361 769 if you need any assistance using their website.  In the rare even that the Flexischools website is not working, counter orders will be accepted until 8.45am of that day, so please do not leave your ordering until the last minute.  Unfortunately phone orders are not able to be accepted.

Tuckshop menu

Our tuckshop-menu-term4-2018.pdf is designed to meet the required Smart Choices - Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools

Break times

Tuckshop can be ordered for both first and second breaks.

First break – 11.00am (longer break)

Second break – 1.15pm

Counter sales

Frozen treats can be bought over the counter at both first and second breaks, and can also be ordered online with the student collecting their item from the tuckshop upon presentation of the paper bag with label that is sent to their class in the tuckshop bucket. We also have other snack foods available for sale over the counter.

We are very lucky to have a wonderful team of volunteers, but it is a very small team!  We rely on the help of volunteers to provide a healthy, affordable, efficient and financially viable food service to the school community, with the profits helping out the school.  Many hands ensure everyone gets fed on time!

We have lots of ways you can help out the tuckshop, there really is something for everyone!

  1. 15 mins after school drop off to stick Flexischools labels on bags
  2. 20 mins after school drop off to cut up salad items, wash lettuce etc
  3. 20 mins after school drop off to wash and cut up fresh fruit
  4. 1 hour once a week to make muffins and cookies
  5. 1 hour once a week to make pasta bolognaise, fried rice or butter chicken
  6. Or just come in and do anything!

Anyone can help ... mums, dads, grandparents and friends.

All those that are not parents of students at Park Lake SS require a volunteer blue card, which we can help with obtaining.  All training, recipes & coffee supplied!

So if you would like to help at your child’s tuckshop please fill in the Tuckshop Volunteer Flyer (PDF, 427KB) or come and see us in the tuckshop and put your name down on our roster board, we’d love to see you!  Alternatively, email us at
