Our school runs a chaplaincy service 2 days per week, providing social, emotional and spiritual resources, as needed, within the Park Lake community. Chappy Em supports students, teachers and families within the school to access services, as required andprovide a link to the surrounding community. If you would like your child to access Chappy Em, please contact your class teacher for a referral throughout Student Support Services team!
Hi! My name is Emma-Lee, but I'm known as Chappy Em within the Park Lake community. I am the current school chaplain here at Park Lake and I'm here Wednesday's and Thursday's. My role as a chaplain is primarily for social, emotional and spiritual support. Most often, the wider school community see chaplain's just for the students. However, I'm here for the teachers/anyone on staff and families of young people, too. The way I see chaplaincy in schools in holistic and involves community support, where necessary. My heart is to see young people thrive and empowered to reach their potential, in a community that cultivates their strengths. Previous chaplains at Park Lake have done an amazing job building a foundation of the chaplaincy service here and I'm honoured to get to keep building upon this for the Park Lake community.
My hope is that I provide a safe and trusted space for everyone—including you, whether it's through one-on-one conversations or small groups. I additionally run a second-hand uniform shop and provide supply's to students who, due to circumstances, may not have the adequate resources to learn effectively with their peers.
