Students from each year level (Yr1-6) have the opportunity to participate in the school's voluntary BYO iPad program. The essence of our BYO iPad program is to increase access to technology for our students and support the personalisation of their learning. We aim to utilise this technology to develop the skills required to enhance communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking in our students.
Each year, families will be asked to submit an expression of interest for their child to be placed into a BYO iPad class. It is policy at Park Lake State School that, when making classes, a range of factors are considered. These include having students with a range of backgrounds, abilities and interests; gender and academic balance. For this reason, it is possible that not every student expressing interest will be placed into these classes.
